Information
Technology
is the use of computers as a tool to transform data into meaningful
information.
In
Year 7 and 8 students use computers in the completion of
research tasks, classroom work and assignments.
In
Year 9
students can choose elective units in Information Technology which focus
on an introduction to basic multimedia applications.
In
Year 10, 11 and 12 students can choose to study V.E.T.
Certificate III in Information Technology (Software Applications) or
commence a
two year V.C.E. Information Technology course that emphasises
the development of application skills in a range of commonly used business
packages which are recognised Australia wide.
Students
may choose to study Information, Processing and Management Unit 3
& 4 as a Business Applications focus (Information Systems) or
as a Programming focus.
